TRANSPORT ROUTE
THE PATH TO A CLEANER FUTURE
At the Callide A Power Station, the CO2 is separated and liquefied, ready for transport to the storage site.
This liquid CO2 is pumped into dedicated B-double road tankers, which are insulated to ensure the CO2 remains at a stable temperature. The liquid is loaded and unloaded through high-pressure hoses.
The trucks will be labeled with the dangerous goods Class 2.2 symbol, to identify them as carrying a non-flammable, non-toxic substance.
Although the final site has not been determined there will be up to two trucks per day travelling along the Dawson Highway from the Callide A Power Station to the final geological site. |
